Charlotte Watson was elected General Secretary of the Public Service Association of South Australia (PSA SA) in 2025, campaigning on a platform of strong member-led advocacy and industrial action to improve pay and conditions for public sector workers.

Since her election, she has prioritised pressing for a significant pay rise amid stalled enterprise bargaining negotiations and has stood publicly with members taking industrial action, highlighting the crisis in staffing and real wage declines in the South Australian public service.
