The CPSU State Public Services Federation congratulates Melissa Donnelly on her appointment as the next Secretary of the Australian Council of Trade Unions.

Melissa has been a formidable advocate for working people throughout her career and, as National Secretary of the CPSU (PSU Group), has led significant wins for public sector workers, including on job security, flexible work, pay, and protecting public services.

CPSU (SPSF Group) Federal Secretary and CPSU Joint National Secretary Stewart Little said Melissa would bring strength, experience, and a deep commitment to union members to the role.

“Melissa has been an outstanding leader, and I’ve been proud to work alongside her as Joint National Secretary of the CPSU. I know she will bring the same determination, strategic leadership, and commitment to solidarity to the ACTU.

“On behalf of members across the country, I congratulate Melissa and look forward to continuing to work with her as she leads our movement into its next chapter.”
